Artist description
Locale A.M. hails from the same Northern California youth rock
scene that spawned Papa Roach, The Deftones, Green Day, and
others. The band is comprised of 18 and 19 year old college
students (some at UC Berkeley). They have been playing together
for five years, and are now selling out youth centers and all age
venues throughout CA, filling the shoes of the aforementioned bands
who have since stepped up to the national level. With their third effort,
The Sounds of Spring, they've clearly defined their refreshingly unique,
highly energetic and intelligent sound. Accompanied by their explosive,
"almost gymnastic" live show, the band has been able to sell 3,000
copies of this release.
The music stays far clear of the droning, drop-tuning, stoner rock
elements present in too much of today's youth rock. Locale A.M.
poses colorful wordplay and strong hooks over power pop/pimprock
with clever asides of jazz and hiphop. |

Artist History
The band has played with such acts as Papa Roach, Hoobustank,
Unwritten Law, Alien Ant Farm, Black Eyed Peas, Sugarcult, The Apex
Theory, Something Corporate, Pressure 4-5, and CKY just to name a
few. They're tireless gigging has brought them from the most prestigious
venues in the San Francisco area (Great American Music Hall, Slims,
Greek Theater) to such LA hotspots as The Key Club, The Roxy, The
Whisky, and The Viper Room; as well as Orange County favorites like
The Glass House and The Chain Reaction, to all the way across the
country in New York City, where they performed live for the CMJ
conference in 2001. With a strong grasp on the Bay Area, they're spending
this fall expanding the business throughout the SouthWest, with an Eastern
U.S. tour scheduled for December.
Now being represented by powerhouse lawyer Fred Davis (Deftones, Alien
Ant Farm, Staind), Locale is building the buzz to match their talent. || THE NUMBERS || - 4 records released before band members can drink alcohol
