Artist History During the late 70's/early 80's Lige Curry joined up with the Parliament/Funkadelic as a constant member of the band both in the studio and on the road, where he is a favored bass player and vocalist of Mr. George Clinton. In 1988 Lige and fellow P. Funker Andre "Foxxe" Williams formed "INCorporated Thang Band" and released Lifestyles of the Roach and Famous on Warner Brothers Records which was produced by George Clinton & Bootsy Collins and yeilded the band a few hits and some well recieved radio airplay. More time on the road with George Clinton & the P. Funk All-Stars and appearances on all the key group and solo recordings, during the next few years Lige gains exposure and takes his time planning out his moves for several projects that are to come. First to see light was the release of "Starrgazing" by his soul mate the lovely Ms. Starr Cullars and her band The Enterprise featuring material either written entirely by Lige or co-written by Lige & Starr, the entire CD was produced by Lige & co-produced by Starr and features several P. Funk Alumni in superb performances. Next to come was the collection of works dubbed "Lige Curry's 4-Track Treasures Part I" which features various recordings made on the road in a variety of settings capturing the cream of the crop of the musicians in P. Funk history recorded in intimate and private settings, sometime unbeknownst to even the players to bring the utmost in unreleased tracks and off the cuff jam sessions that could possibly be caught on a 4-Track recorder and put on 1 CD. After this followed sessions with Keyboard Legend Bernie Worrell and Michael "Kidd Funkadelic" Hampton, tracks were laid down but release was forthcoming from the sessions. Next it was time for what Lige had been waiting for all along, the release of his own super funky release, "An Introspective" full of more of what your funking for that's guaranteed to please even the pickiest Funkateer! This joint features an all-star P. Funk cast and some of the best recordings Lige has ever made. Finnally, lige recently released "Lige Curry's 4-Track Treasures Part 2 - And It Don't Stop Now!!" this collection once again captures all your favorite P. Funkers in behind the scenes jams and unreleased off the cuff sessions recorded on the road with Lige's personal 4-track in a variety of localities worldwide. Another bomb collection of curios for the massses of the Funk. Currently Lige Curry is on the road with George Clinton & the P. Funk All-Stars and exploring new and exciting adventures in the studio to bring the best of the funk to the people in the not too distant future. "G. Wiggles The Worm - 2001"
