Press Reviews
Harakiri has recieved great reviews from Loudnet, Hellfrost, Metal Maniacs, Metal Mafia, Midwest Metal, Superhero, Nuvo Newsweekly, and many more."Reverence For Madness" CD review from http://www.loudnet.com: "I have been following this band for quite a while and after two demos they have finally released a CD. ..And it totally kicks ass!Harakiri play excellent death metal. Hailing from Indiana, these guys play straight-up death metal that's pretty much in a league ofit's own. It's varies in pace, it's got some solos, but overall it's very eerie and it's completely heavy. The production is pretty good, but it could be better. The levels are a bit low, that's all. But what it may lack in sound (note that I didn't say it does lack in sound)it definitely picks up 100% in good music. Eight songs, each one just as good as the previous one. The art is pretty crazy. It's notgore but it actually made me cringe. It's hard to explain but, well, ouch. It's a guy who appears to be sitting in a tub and it just lookslike he had a bad date with a razor blade. DIY skin grafting. Well, overall, you have some killer insane death metal. Probably oneof my favorite death metal albums by a new band. If anyone were to ask me for some unknown death metal, I'd recommendHarakiri in a second." |
