Artist description
"The whole concept of this music is based on the assimilation of live acoustic sounds and rhythms with those generated by machines. Our societies are similarly becoming more and more dependent on computers and machinery. This material is a real/symbolic and 'symbiotic' product of man, woman and machine, coexisting in a mad harmonious musical melange. It could be described as a fusion of traditional, techno, urban and alternative music. I strive to retain a certain element of human compassion and humour, in order to complement the machinery rather than to fight or to hide it. Much of the material is instrumental as I feel that percussion and melodies are capable of conveying thoughts, images and ideas of a different nature. After watching the news and reading the papers over the years, I've come to the conclusion that music is the only language on this earth which makes any sense... with or without the machinery. To challenge outdated views about who we are, and what we are doing on this planet, is as much a part of this material as is the attempt to generate an original sound." |
