Artist description
Since their inception The Wexford Boys have been presenting audiences with their particular brand of "traditional-folk-rock." The band's repertoire draws heavily on traditional Irish / Scottish dance tunes and songs, and colors these with an improvisational, folk-rock approach. Added to this is a large body of original material. The result is an exciting, groove-centered sound that is both conservative and exploratory. |

Artist History
The two began their musical relationship in 1997, when they performed together as part of the award-winning traditional Celtic folk group, Gaoth Agus Rithim. Flaherty eventually left Gaoth Agus Rithim to pursue a career with the folk-rock group, Burn, Witch, Burn. Pfeiffer, a co-founder of Gaoth Agus Rithim, remained and continued to hone his skills as a traditional musician. With their respective projects, they performed regularly throughout the South Jersey/Philadelphia area at venues such as The Pontiac Grille, the Trocadero, Fergie's Pub, The Noyes Museum, Border's and Merryfield's Pub. Numerous township and festival appearances complete the roster, including First Night in Medford, the Haddonfield Fine Arts Festival, the Medford Lakes Music and Arts Festival, the Newton Colony/WXPN Arts & Music Festival, the Poughkeepsie Renaissance Festival and The Historic Smithville Celtic Heritage Festival. Now, they have reunited to create a band that combines the traditional with the adventuresome, with captivating results. |

Press Reviews
"Irish music blends with folk-rock in a masterful presentation of familiar reels and jigs. Playful creativity with a traditional core makes The Wexford Boys both authentic and energetically original. And when they break out the pub songs, you're bound to sing along." -Bonnie Hart, WBZC – 88.9FM |
