Artist History
Marit and Kare Grethe are sisters and have played
together since they were kids. The were picked up
by an Australian producer in Sidney while playing
on the streets. This led to their first demo.
Back in Norway they were picked up by a major
record company, but the cooperation didn't work
out. So the sisters decided to take the long road
alone. They gathered a band to be named
Preacherman's Daughter in May 2000. Several
concerts in Stavanger, Sandnes, Oslo and Bergen
have established Preacherman's Daughter as a well
respected up and coming band. The band released
their debut album "Frame This Moment" in late May
2001, and received great reviews from the media. |

Press Reviews
- Great debut! Nice songs and beautiful vocal harmonies from Preacherman’s Daughter. The girls proofs the rule that sisters are perfect for vocal harmonies, with voices that fits perfectly together. The album is quiet, melancholic and all through beautiful, and impresses with all over strong songs. yvind Roenning, Dagbladet, 5 out of 6.
- What a debut album! Preacherman’s Daughter has delivered a timeless record which gives good promise for the future. Not many Norwegian bands (or international for that sake) deserves five sparkling stars for a debut album. The songs which are written by the sisters have turned out to be eleven pearls of pop songs, with good help from their voices, tickling your interest. Preacherman’s Daughter are right when they campaign they are not like other Norwegian bands! Dagfinn Bergesen, Panorama, 5 out of 6
