Artist History
Pat developed his love of country music while playing bass for the late, great Shorty Long before moving to Nashville. On his own label, GoldDust Records, he achieved five nationally charted Billboard singles, and eventually signed with Polygram Records. He appeared on TNN's "Club Dance", Ralph Emery's "Nashville Now", and CMTV. After more success than many who venture to Nashville, but also his share of disappointments, the determined young man decided to follow his own course.
It was while performing at the Jamboree in the Hills, in Wheeling, WV when he first dreamed of his own music festival. A place near home where the many ardent country music fans of that area could gather to see nationally known and upcoming stars alike. He finally made his dream a reality in 1994 in the form of the beautiful Pat Garrett Amphitheater. Nestled at the foothills of the Blue Mountains of Pennsylvania, the Pat Garrett Amphitheater has featured legendary artists like Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, George Jones to name a few.
With seven albums to his credit, Pat continues to pour his life experience into song. His song, "In the Blue Mountains", is a tribute to his home state of Pennsylvania. The beautiful ballad received rave reviews nationwide. His single, "Old Timers"also received national airplay and praise from traditional country fans and radio alike. Both songs are from his most recently released album entitled "On the Stage".
Pat's patriotic tribute "If You Love America" was aired not only nationally, including the Howard Stern Show, but also worldwide. By donating the profits to the American Red Cross, Pat raised thousands of dollars to go toward those most effected by the terrorist attacks.
The Pat Garrett Band opens the shows for the star-studded line-up at the Amphitheater, as well as performing all over the nation at fairs, corporate events, and dinner theaters. |
