Artist History Her presence on stage is captivating and inescapable. Her extraordinary voice grasps your focus and seizes to let go. Born and raised in Montreal, she began singing at the age of 18 and has been singing professionally for the past 8 years.Her background is quite extensive regarding her vocal capabilities and vocal technique. Her educational history includes 5 years of private coaching and she completed one year of studies at the McGill University Conservatory of Music. Four years ago she was involved with an original band called Achilles Closet that produced a CD, which sold a fair amount of copies. Since then, she has been writing her own songs and performing in the Montreal music circuit. She is presently collaborating with guitarist/song-writer Achilles Pitsios as they continue to write new songs and already possess an exuberance of original material. Three years ago she decided to explore yet another area of music by singing in her native language of Greek. She worked at a local Fine Greek Cuisine Restaurant/Bar for a year and then moved on to a local Greek Disco Club. The reaction and response towards Maro from all her fans was so overwhelming and inconceivable, it allowed her manager to initiate a new venture for her. Maro has now decided to go solo and is presently putting on her own spectacular shows with her new band "Take 5". She has taken Montreal's Club stages by storm and continues to entertain all her fans on a larger scale. Her Management Team, in collaboration with Enigma Productions and Kewl Records (An Independent Record Label) have also just released Maros new Debut Greek Dance CD titled "Kiss My Remix". The recording is very original in terms of musical content. It caters to almost anyone who is in the mood to just let loose and dance. Along with the latest dance, techno and 80s hip-hop beats, an array of Greek and Arabic instruments and Maros phenomenal vocals, this CD is definitely going to stir up all dance floors in the Club Scene. Her distinct enchanting voice and warm sincere nature have made her eminent to her fans and her name has become renowned in her hometown of Montreal. Her remarkable performance never fails to fascinate and amaze the audience regardless of whether she's pouring her heart out with a ballad or rocking the house down with her powerful and energetic vocals.
