Press Release, Singer/Songwriter Continues successful Covers Contest for 2001 Atlanta Georgia: Singer/Songwriter, Ted Lehman's songs are being covered by no less than 14 independent MP3.com artists with more covers on the way. Ted has been a songwriter for over 30 years, writing and making his recordings in his home studio for his own enjoyment for most of that time. After getting involved with MP3.com in December of 98' and seeing many his songs, get featured and reach #1 on the MP3.com charts he began trying to motivate the artists of MP3.com to cover his songs. He created the Ted Lehman Covers Contest and started asking for MP3.com artists to participate. That was in May of 2000 and he now begins the Covers Contest 2001 with commitments from at least half a dozen more artists to cover his songs. Ted is also going to be posting his cover versions of Rhonda Watson, and Bob Savage songs. They were the winners of the first contest in 2000 and Ted's covers are part of their prize winnings. The songs range from a hard rock instrumental version of his soft rock song "Richmond Avenue", to some very diverse interpretations of the Lehman-Bishop country rock song "Just Friends" which is frequently in the Top 10 Atlanta MP3.com Pop Charts. Ted is also the writer of "I WANT MY MP3", which is the story of the independent artists of MP3.com, also a featured #1 song, and about to be covered by 2 other MP3.com artists.Ted announced this week that the contest dates will be January - April, May - August, and September - December.
