Artist History
Jessica Anne King was born June 18, 1980 in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She borrowed a neigbor's guitar at the age of twelve, and by the end of the day, she could play Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Come On Come On" CD in its entirety. At 15, Jessica started performing around Atlanta and four years later was awarded runner-up in the Lilith Fair Talent Search. Shortly after, Jessica moved to Roanoke, Virginia to go to college. She currently attends Hollins University, where she discovered the other love of her life, computers. Tequila Mockingbird, Jessica's long awaited debut album, was finally released in Spring of 2001. |

Press Reviews
"Emotionally direct alterna-folk, telling a romantic tale from the other side of the tracks." - Audiogalaxy ------
"Four acts later, the crowd began to applaud Jessica King even before she made it up on stage, and her nimble guitar lines, echoing a Dave Matthews influence, and solid mid-range vocals earned just as much cheering after she finished." - Alan Black, Atlanta ------
