As lead singer, guitarist and programmer for the group Jeff, along with percussionist/harmonica player Scott Nickerson and multi-instrumentalist Koney Ferrell bring the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett to thousands of satisfied Parrotheads from coast to coast. An accomplished entertainer, guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist, pianist and sequence programmer, Jeff has performed thousands of shows from coast to coast and perfected many styles of music since he began his musical career in 1984. He has appeared on stage and shared the bill with such acts as Jimmy Buffett, Rick Springfield, Ru Paul, David Allan Coe, Jerry Lee Lewis, Toy Caldwell, The Marshall Tucker Band, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Blackfoot, Kansas, Keith Burns of Trick Pony, Peter Mayer, Scott Kirby, Greg Fingers Taylor, Amy Lee, Mike Utley and Robert Greenidge. Jeff is also an independent producer, engineer, songwriter and independent recording artist with 15 CDs to his credit as of this writing, 5 being of his own original material. A place where he feels his music, his message and his soul is best communicated... to a very lucky listening audience..........//..........KONEY FERRELL- Musical veteran and multi-instrumentalist Koney Ferrell has been taking his music and his musicianship very serious since a very early age. Throughout his lifetime, Koney has become quite efficient on such instruments as the trombone, dobro, lap steel guitar, synthesizer, tenor banjo and the Chapman Stick. Though fond of all of the above instruments his main instrument of choice is the bass guitar, which he has been playing for over 25 years. Influenced heavily by bass guitar giants Chris Squire of Yes, Peter Cetera of Chicago, Tony Levin of King Crimson and Paul McCartney of The Beatles, Koney has successfully played many types of music throughout his career. He cut his teeth in numerous professional working bands through the years playing rock, jazz, country, blues and blue grass. And aside from his playing, he has leant his skills as an arranger and a songwriter to numerous original and cover bands, both in the studio and on the stage. He has shared the bill and the stage with such artists as Nazareth, Richard Marx, Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, Jerry Lee Lewis and Greg Fingers Taylor. Aside from playing with Jeff in the duo, over the past year Koney has been playing fulltime with A1A. 2003 brought new life to A1A when Koney and Jeff composed most of the music for the all original debut CD by A1A entitled Ship Happens!! Koneys supreme musicianship and uncanny ability to improvise at any given moment makes many musical moments very special, for the musicians joining him onstage and for the very lucky people in the audience. Press Reviews On January 7, 2001, Jeff and Koney Ferrell, Jeff's longtime friend, played live for an intimate audience at "The Red Light Cafe" in Atlanta, Ga. The performance was recorded and the result was Jeff's latest CD, "Live at The Red Light Cafe". This performance was unplugged. All Jeff had was his guitar, un-amplified. What you hear on the CD is what the audience heard that night. He and Koney merely plugged into the recording equipment. Jeff's angelic-like tenor voice just plain emotes and evokes emotion from the listener. Sorry, it can't be helped. Jeff possesses an ability to lift vignettes from his life and transfer those feelings to a listener who happens to be having the privilege of listening to one of Jeff's songs. The mood he sets with his guitar is a perfect compliment to the lyrics of his music.
