Artist History
Borne of a side project involving members of Houston's Sonnier Brothers Band, crushpad teamed up with Austin producer/musician, Dave McNair, to make a quick record. Recorded live-to-tape at Houston's Sound Arts Studios in two evenings, the band's eponymous debut CD is an eleven-song juggernaut. The CD is a quick glimpse of what could be Houston's most promising band. |

Press Reviews
** With a voice as glacially still as Debbie Harry's and a snarl worthy of Mae West, this female-fronted outfit distills Rockabilly and chills it out considerably. No crescendos, no whispers: just cool, enticing tunes. -- Listen.Real.com ** The long time between formation and performance numero uno has been worth it. crushpad exhibits mature musicianship..." -- Anthony Mariani, Houston Press |
