Artist History
Cheryl has been playing guitar since she was eight years old. She was a popular fixture on the music scene in Halifax, Nova Scotia during the early eighties, performing at folk festivals, clubs and coffee houses. She did her first broadcast recording with the CBC when she was twenty and has made numerous radio and television appearances throughout Canada since then. In 1989, while living in Toronto, she founded The Eaglewood Folk Festival and directed it for four years, laying the foundation for its continued success. Cheryl also worked full time in the disability field until 1997 when she decided to make music a full time commitment. She is currently living in Nova Scotia and has just released her first CD, Magnetic Love, which is being distributed through Tidemark Music. |
