    Artist description
The band is composed of Julian and Jan who may enlist additional musicians from time to time to perform or go in the studio. Julian plays guitar, bass, keyboards and he also does the programming of the drum machines. Jan plays keyboards and sings lead. They write their music with old non-analog synthesizers obtained in yard sales. However they love to have a Moog in the studio if there is one around. They are currently working on their second album which should be released in the spring of 2001. They enjoy obscure British pop-rock music and have developed a very unique style on their own. Their 1st record was done with very modest equipment, but they managed to produce a sound which is quite sophisticated. Julian follows unconventional rules when writing songs and Jan is a great lyricist in the vein of Ray Davies.

    Artist History
Julian and Jan are school sweethearts who grew up in the Washington DC metro area. While in high school they put together several bands that pretty much played music written by this talented couple. They never did covers and their music was always interesting and quirky. They worked with several musicians, particularly drummers, but in the end they decided to go at it as a duo. Their biggest achievement up to date was the opportunity to record a CD with Hub City Records in Maryland from January through May 1999. The CD "Complaints From The Beauty Class" was well received and generated spectacular reviews. The song "I wanted to be Sexy", a clever synth-pop tune in both French and English has become their most famous work. They moved from Washington, DC to Philadelphia two years ago and have received very positive reviews by the local rock music scene. They have recorded more than half of their next album which will feature real analog synthesizers as well as other new sounds from newly acquired musical instruments. A lot of folks are anxiously awaiting the new CD.
