Artist description Late in 1997 veteran trumpeter and television composer Barry Anthony and vocalist Sylvia Rodriguez assembled a group ofseven of Los Angeles's finest musicians to play several dance engagements throughout the LA area. Barry carefully arranged arepertoire of the music that had always been close to their hearts; the swingin' Jazz and Big band standards and the romanticballads of the 40's and 50's.The band quickly gained popularity and soon found itself with an engagement at the elegant Sky Room, a new dining anddancing supper club located at the top of the Breakers Hotel in Long Beach California. The Sky Room, completely restored toit's original 1930's splendor sports a completely art deco interior, the finest in dining, and with the newly discovered "Swing ofThings", the best in dancing and listening music.
