Artist description
A group of seven high school and college students with a jazz background where each member combines their talents into a unique acoustic rock sound. Their live shows include mostly original songs sprinkled with a few familiar favorites. Since forming in February, 1999 and winning the May 2000 Battle of the Bands in their hometown, the group earned themselves the honor of playing at the St. Joseph Fourth of July Millennium Celebration before a crowd of 10,000. |

Artist History
Transformed from the two-person band, "The Eggmen," started by Fred Dimmel and Colby Walter they combined with other band members of different backgrounds and styles ? including jazz, funk, and acoustic pop ? to form Sergeant Soul and the Hollow Box Band. Now shortened to Sergeant Soul, they are a popular attraction in their hometown ? playing several citywide events. |
