    Artist History
Band members: Bobby Ade, Pete Farrar, and Ryan Crossman grew up in central Maine. Bobby met Pete in their second-grade class, and they met Ryan in junior high. Although not friends until much later, as boys they began their music lessons around age 12. Bobby began with bass lessons and progressed to drum lessons. He as since taught himself guitar. Pete's first instrument, a drum set, only let to a greater interest in music. After a little finess he convinced his mother to buy him a guitar at age 16. Ryan, also a memeber of the school band, played the trumpet for years before his first guitar purchase at age 18. Bobby and Pete began playing together in 1991. When Ryan returned from the Air Force in 1994 he joined what was developing into a band. The trio played for area friends and numerous parties. They have changed their name several times. Their last name, Spinning Sidewalks, no longer fit the changing band. The year 2000 proved to be the most influential year the band had ever endured. Bobby, unhappy with his job in far-from-Bangor Nashua, New Hampshire was unable to spend the hours he needed to help produce a new CD. In September, Bobby received confirmation of a transfer closer to home. Pete ended a seven year relationship and began reconstucting his long and short-term goals. His desire to pursue a career in audio engineering became a feasable reality in January 2001 with the confirmation of his college enrollment for the fall. Ryan Crossman's marriage and the anticipation of impending fatherhood obviously influenced many aspects of his life. Late in 2000 and early 2001 Living Proof put together a studio and bought an AKAI digital recorder. They have been able to spend significantly more time together, and less time talking about making music.
