Artist History
Vanishing Point was formed in September 1997, in Kalispell, Montana. They performed their first live gig on May 24, 1998. Starting out in their hometown, they quickly shot to the top of the local music scene, and began to branch out to surrounding cities in the area. The band had seen 13 different drummers come and go between 1998 and 2000, including two during the recording of their self-titled debut album. The arrival of Brandon White in December of 2000 finally brought a sense of permanence to the group. In the spring of 2001, Vanishing Point was at the top of their game, landing an opening slot in support of 70's rockers Head East in April, 2001. But the success was short-lived. In January 2002, guitarist/vocalist and founding member Jim "Cisco" Kerney decided to leave the band to pursue other projects. In March 2002, after the addition of lead & rhythm guitarist Shea Ciamitaro, the band decided on a name change, from Vanishing Point to "Hollow Point". This new name, while bearing a slight resemblance to the old name, reflected the new direction the band had taken. They began booking gigs all across northwest Montana, and began preparations for a tour of the state in the summer of 2002. However the group was again set back in May, 2002, when a severe back injury suffered by bassist Jarod Kerney while moving a piano put an abrupt end to their tour. All dates were cancelled, and the band members decided to pursue their own projects. In June 2003, Drummer Brandon White and guitarist Shea Ciamitaro werereleased from their respective duties, due to personal reasons within the band. Original guitarist Jim Kerney has recently rejoined the group and will replace Ciamitaro. No drummer has yet been named to replace White. VP is currently writing material and discussing plans for a follow-up album, but no timetable has been set. Heavily influenced by the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, MollyHatchet, and other southern rock greats, Vanishing Point continues to strive to flow in the same vein, an effort that has put them among the top bands out of an ever growing Montana music scene. |

Press Reviews
"The band posesses musical quality in all of their songs... ...some great guitar work on this CD... ...one great attribute that the band has is the knowledge of the blues. ...the whole feeling of the blues is there..."-Jon H., Hard Rock Music Reviews.
"This CD has excellent Southern rock and blues on it. They're great, everyhting just fits so perfectly together. Great guitar. No two songs sound the same, amazing vocals! Theres a good variety of fast and slow (songs), mixed with blues, so you never get bored of hearing one type of music."- Stephanie Rowland: My Place In Space.
