    Artist History
Music was always in the family for Trevor and Scott, their parents played in local country dance band Dakota, and the brothers went to see their parents play live sets throughout Dakota's career. In 1989, Trevor sat down behind his Father's drums and decided to learn to play. Then, in 1995, Scott picked up the bass and began jamming out tunes. The two brothers played in the Centennial Secondary School's concert and stage bands, touring the city, and playing tours in eastern Canada. This was an exceptional opportunity for the two to develop as a solid rythmn section together, and many of the traits of the music played in these groups were passed on to Trilogy's original material. These traits include dynamics, walking bass lines, and odd time signatures. In 1996, Virtigo was formed, which added the addition of guitar player Tyrone Warner. Virtigo was a rock cover band that played all of the Centennial Secondary School's assemblies, and played coffee houses and local shows.Virtigo took a stand-still in 1997, after Trevor and Scott received an offer to play with Steve MacDonald in a straight-up blues cover band. The band, called Stevie "T" and the Kryptonites, consisted of Trevor Maybee on the drums, Steve MacDonald on guitar, Jeff Chisholm on keyboards, Scott Maybee on bass, and Rob Lawrence on saxophone. The band played local venues such as Copper Fields, and The Kingpin but decided to move on in fall of 1998 after a few of it's members went to college. At that time, Trevor and Scott were creating a list of original material, influenced by the jazz of the stage band, the rock and drive of Virtigo, and the blues roots of Stevie "T" and the kryptonites. In 1998 Trevor and Scott as well as Jeff Chisholm got back together as a jazz trio accompanied by a flute quintet. The group performed "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck at the local Rotary Music Festival. After achieving a gold medal, the group was filmed for a television program entitled"Festival of the Stars" which was aired on provincial television. Still inspired by playing the blues, Scott made a transition from bass to guitar in 1998. Scott met Shannon Crawford at a local coffee house and Shannon agreed to play bass. Scott, Trevor and Shannon formed a new band "Trilogy". The material covered included classic rock cover songs, as well as some blues material Trevor and Scott had covered earlier. The band played various shows around the area, playing at The Bohemian Penguin several times, and entering in a local Battle Of The Bands, in which the group picked up 1st place. In the fall of 2000, Trevor and Scott moved to Ottawa to go to university, and to create a new band in a bigger city. Now fully equipt with a vibrant list of originals, from the steady rock of "Who Would Have Known", to the mellow obscurity of "Cast Away", to the foot-tapping beat of "Lady from New Orleans", Trevor and Scott are ready to go into the studio and release their sound to a broad audience of listeners.
