Artist History Tony DeSare is quickly becoming one of New York’s hottest new young pianist and singers. The sound is catchy piano based rock. The music is a powerful blend of strong melodies and heartfelt lyrics Born in Glens Falls, New York, Tony was raised in a musical family and started singing and playing professionally at 17. By the time Tony went to college, he had built a large regional following playing to packed houses, receiving daily radio play and selling 2000 units of his first independently released CD. The Tony DeSare band was one of the most popular bands in Ithaca, while Tony was at Ithaca College. Tony had numerous sold out shows and with his band, won the $2000 first place in the “IC Showcase”, a college sponsored national battle of the bands and was a semi-finalist in the MastercardActs, a national talent search for college students. The Tony DeSare Band plays continuously at various hotspots around New York City such as the Cutting Room, The Bitter End, Le Bar Bat and Downtime. His fans range from Joe Piscopo to Madeline Albright. Tony has even ventured over to the Great White Way starring in the hit Off-Broadway revue “Our Sinatra” now in its third year.
