Artist History
My first appreciations of folk music were as a child hearing a Columbia Recording of the Newport Folk Festivals of the sixties. I taught myself harmonica at age 8; learned guitar from singing nuns shortly thereafter, then sang and played guitar in folk-masses and with friends in Massachusetts. I began playing Irish music in college and taught myself mandolin at that time. I played guitar with a progressive band at MIU in Iowa and continued with folk music in California with Carol Hunner, First of May (Sharon Knight), Four Shillings Short, Mr. Barky, and Nancy Cassidy. I currently play with Broceliande, Harmon's Peak and Dream Acres. |

Press Reviews
The press has been generally very kind. They like my guitar playing, and reviewers have at least tolerated my vocal treatments. On the negative side this French guy once said that I'm a crummy accordion player. |
