Artist description
Crushing thrash metal with melodic sections and occasional toasted vocals. When the hostility and sonic brutality reach critical mass, these killer Canadians temper things with sweetly sung lyrics about how tough life is for goths and freaks. |

Artist History
The young and blosseming Dysfunction & The 13 Dead Flower Childrens, are not so much a band as they are a hyper-dynamic musical experience. Imagine the world spinning off it's axis, and you'll have a good idea of what these "childrens", age ranges from 14-18, would sound like. Or as Zak Barcodin says "It's sweet, ruthless. Just one sick experience." With their wicked rhythms, sinister riffs, speakin-in-tongues vocals and rapid lyrics, the Barrie (soon moved to Markham) Canada quartet build provocatively on their sweet-altern-rock-love-song "Once Again" and with the new blazing "My Mean". More powerful then their first, it's a song that consolidates all their strengths -- the rhythmic dynamism, the jarring use of melody, the grunge/metal undercurrents, and "the bracing blend of extrems" according to Ross Weaver, the current owner of "The Guvernment" placing Dysfunction & The 13 Dead Flower Childrens as a regular. |
