Artist description
Someone once said we have a schizophrenic range of varying styles and can give you nightmares. I like to think we have a rather mellow but edgy sound, however, we tend to go from musical styles like hard rock to folk to classical and never have gaps between the songs. Many of our songs are instumental but when we have lyrics we'll have lots of them. The main thing of us is working under the influence of silent movies (i.e. Chaplin, Keaton, Pickford, Gish, Griffith, etc.) and often have made songs that intentionally sync up with certain movies. Our recent challenge has been making a concept album that also syncs up with D.W. Griffith's 1920 film Way Down East. We really could care less about the money involved in the making of music but more about beating the crap that's out there now such as death metal, rap, hard core punk and most of all bubblegum pop. To quote David Gilmour, "It's all extensions of what is coming out of our heads, really." |

Artist History
When we were little kids, Brenden and I would play harmonicas out on the porch of his house and that's really where it all started. Brenden moved away and I was left alone and is when I got serious about music. Years later I would take up guitar and played with another friend, Ryan. We sort of had a heavy metal duo with just us both on guitars and Ryan singing. We basically only did AC/DC covers and called ourselves AC/DC Jr. It lasted from 1994-1995, I've no idea what has become of him since. I continued to play alone and mess with any equipment that I could find. I found myself becoming an increasingly bigger Pink Floyd fan and began working under their influence. Around that time, I was up late one night and was watching Turner Classic Movies, it was Sunday night and I had tuned in to watch the silent feature (Which I continue to do.) and saw, Orphans of the Storm, it absolutely gripped me, I had never seen anything so moving or compelling in my life. When they reran it a few nights later, I taped it and began playing with music and made something that I like to listen to while I watch it and that's when I figured my ambition to begin pursuing songwriting again. Brenden had moved back to town and we gradually began starting to play together again and here we are. We're still in the experimental stages but are for the first time working together again and working on solo projects. |
