Artist History
- During the Summer Between 6th and 7th grade, EJ and Kenny started a band called Blind. Kenny played drums and E.J. played guitar and was the singer. They had about 3 songs, but mostly played covers. They played one gig, with a band formerly called Igneous at Reception hall near Kenny's house. Blind did not work out. Kenny and E.J. had some mixed feelings so the band broke up.- During Freshman year in October 1999, EJ, Kenny, Andy, and another friend from school, James wanted to put together a band. They couldn't really think of a name at the time so they kept their minds on more important matters at the time. The band wasn't really accomplishing anything having James as the singer. So EJ, Kenny, and Andy decided to break away and form their new band SENTIMENT with EJ as the singer/guitarist.-EJ began to go to work writing songs. The first Sentiment songs where: "Slidie Song", "Call On the Radio", "Heal" and "Change Can Be an Awful Thing". Soon after the band was assembled in late December Sentiment acquired Rishi as their keyboardest. Sentiment began to take a new approach with a keyboard in the band and came up with the song "Final Decay". Soon after the amazing break through of "Final Decay", the band realised this new style was changing the perspective of music for Sentiment. They began their new journey by dropping all their songs but "Final Decay" and having EJ write their new songs "Forget the Lies", "Too", "Medusa", "Redeem Time", and "Ignorance".-It was getting close for Sentiment to play a show, but EJ and Kenny weren't getting along. So Kenny decided he wanted to quit. After this disaster happend we had Matt from Kid Tested Mother Approved (his band) fill in as our drummer so we could play the Carnival Concert. The show went ok it was a good warm up for our big gig at the Galaxy Night Club, but we got a few new fans and had fun so it was all worth it.-After the Carnival gig Jason, a friend from school wanted to join our band after hearing us at the Carnival. We saw how good he was and decided he was now a part of Sentiment. Meenwhile, Kenny was talking to Matt ( drummer of K.T.M.A ) And found out that Sentiment needed him back, as much as he wanted to be back, so He Rejoined the band. Sentiment began to prepare for the Galaxy Concert. Finally when the concert came around it ended as a huge success and had the time of our lives. After the gig at the Galaxy Sentiment was offered to play some more shows and further more exposure. -And that's all the history to date. |
