Rob Dread, the artist known as KMA (pronounced Kay-ma)
R.E.N. Productions presents national recording artist
Rob Dread, whose mission is to seek out new grooves
and to take his audiences into the "Groovedom."
Rob Dread worked with national recording artist Ras Bonghi on a two year American tour as bassist, vocalist, keyboardist, and sound tech.
He has also worked with international recording artist and former Master Drummer of the West African Ballet Kaikpai and the Riddem of Afrique as musical director.
Rob Dread founded and musically directed Columbus sensation Dread Alert. His further musical contributions were as bassist and vocalist.
Furthermore, he was a featured bassist for the international reggae band, Identity/Nu-Sonics (Mango/Island Records) in 1993.
Rob Dread also co-founded and was musical director, manager, and lead vocalist of the Ohio based reggae music institution, the Dub Enforcement Agency (D.E.A.) which received international prestige in a rave review by Reggae Report Magazine (April 1996).
He has also shared the stage with a variety of musical giants: King Yellowman, Burning Spear, Phil Collins, George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelics, Inner Circle, Third World, Morris Day and the Time, The Itals, KRS-1, Greggory Issacs, The Gap Band, Men at Large, The Ark Band, and Identity.
The CD entitled "Rob Dread a.k.a. KMA" is currently receiving radio and dance club airplay in Kentucky, West Virginia, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, and Ohio.
