Artist History
Phil has been performing live from the tender age of 13 and started recording professionally in 1988.An E.P. of Phil's original songs entitled "Phil Halliday" was released to the industry and the public in 1989 and was recieved very well. The song "Just Like Lovin' You" was released as a video only, and to everyones surprise recieved a great deal of airplay world wide and recieved a second ballot nomination for CCMA video of the year in 1990.Phil went on to release independently and with the help of Sony music, three more singles that did very well for him around the world before releasing his first full length C.D.entitled "I Can't Read Your Mind"in 1998 along with the release of a video for the title track that is still recieving airplay on CMT.With that success and an inked publishing deal with Sony Music,Phil decided it was time for another video, this time to the well accepted single "All Those Tears Ago".With live and retail sales doing better than expectedl globally the time has come again to record yet another C.D.and thats exacly where this story will take a short pause because as you read this, the new project which already has the attention of the industry will be released in spring 2001. |
