Artist History Geoff PearlmanAt age 9, Geoff Pearlman went to his first concert. The year was 1978, the city was Pittsburgh, PA and the band was Kiss. That was all it took to convince him of his calling. Geoff pretty much avoided the makeup, but not the guitar and by age 11 he was playing in bands. At around 15, after being influenced for years by the Beatles and later by artists like Todd Rundgren and XTC, Geoff began to write his first songs. At 18, Geoff shipped off for Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Still working on his song writing skills, Geoff?s guitar playing branched out into more worldly directions. He also met his musical brothers and started the band Redfish Bluefish that would take him to San Francisco in 1992. The band hooked up with for mer 4 Non Blonde Linda Perry in 1996 and backed her up on her world tour. Funny enough, this tour found Geoff in the same venue as his first concert experience, only this time he was opening up for the Who. In 1997, a new band in San Francisco called S torm and Her Dirty Mouth was formed with Geoff on guitar and Redfish, Bluefish drummer Dan Foltz, and the next year in San Francisco belonged to that band. Winning awards and packing clubs, the band toured the coast and made the press. In 1999, Redfi sh Bluefish released their debut self titled and self produced CD on Racer Records. Later that year, Geoff and RFBF drummer Dan Foltz began to play with Island/ Def Jam recording artist Shelby Lynne and bassist Jon Evans toured the world with Atlantic re cording artist Tori Amos. Maybe you saw Geoff or Jon on Late Night with Conan O?Brien. The group also appeared on BBC radio with host Billy Bragg and BBC 2?s Later with Jools Holland.Currently, Geoff Pearlman lives in Los Angeles and is composing musi c for films, such as Raven Picture?s latest short Quarter and the upcoming Rainbow Chaser feature film Maggie and Annie, as well as music for web sites and of course, writing and performing his own material as well.
