Artist History
the band was formed by Gustavo 'Gureh' Gurrieri, Miguel 'Mikeh' Serrano, Sean Bratt, and Victor Trabucco in 1983 in high school (Nido de Aguilas) in Santiago, Chile. Gureh and Mikeh were the 2 core members from beginning to end. Sean was replaced quickly with David Bitner. other guitarists joined along the way: Andy Koch (guest), Eduardo Parra, and Javier Elizalde. because of the band's name, sometimes we had to perform or record under other names: 'The Slam' and '[CENSURADO]' (censored). there weren't many (or any?) punk bands at the time in Chile, at least not singing in spanish, with lyrics often critiquing society and the military, all while General Pinochet was in power. the band played most of its gigs between 1983-1989, and has reunited at times for special occasions, 'the final drip...' in 1997, and for a couple of concerts in Santiago Chile mar/2002. since 1997 miguel serrano & david bitner have been involved in various projects, using the net as one of the mediums to release them. |
