Demonic Sonics. Satanic Verses. What more do you need to know?

HIP-HOP meets HARD ELECTRONICA in a knock-down, drag-out, Double-Hell Electrified Barbed Wire Deathmatch. Fast, complex battle rhymes over psycho-delic beats, just like Mom used to worry about you listening to...
    Musical Influences
Eric B and Rakim, Grand Puba, Goblin, Organized Konfusion, Ultramagnetic MCs, GWAR, De La Soul, Ice, Scorn, Heiroglyphics, Techno Animal, Meat Beat Manifesto
    Similar Artists
VOX- Dr Octagon, Rakim, Saafir, Organized Konfusion, Big Pun, LMNO, Heiroglyphics..BEATS- Meat Beat, Premier, Scorn, RZA, DJ Hi-Tek, Goblin, Bill Laswell, Spectre, Public Enemy...um..or Old Scratch!!
    Artist History
Great minds run in the same gutter. Old Scratch formed a while ago in the Ninth Circle of Hell (Southeastern CT). After a few years of Stopheles commuting from his home in downtown Brooklyn, we moved to Hell Gate (a section of Harlem NYC) and now to BROOKLYN-QUEENS to pursue our plan towards total annihilation of the slack "bling bling" so prevalent in hip hop. Are we hip hop's saviors, conquerors, or destroyers? YES...
    Group Members
Stopheles - Walking Rhymebomb; B'Lial - Beat Decimator
    Instruments
Inticate, darkly-humorous battle rhymes over audio beatdowns. Two brains, one larynx, one PC, and a whole buttload of obscure, deconstructed and manipulated samples.
    Press Reviews
"NOUN: Chiefly Southern U.S. The Devil; Satan." (American Heritage Dictionary)------- "Twisted...Imagine Eric B and Rakim reinvented as quasi-Satanist suburbans...armed with a DJ bin of Italian horror-movie soundtracks...Nice." SPIN magazine, August 1999-------"Way entertaining" Village Voice, July 13, 1999--------"Big tribal beats, powerful drive and relentless rhyme make for an intense experience." -- somuchtosay.com, 10/27/99-------LISTEN.COM review: "The episode of Star Trek where the crew beamed down to an alien planet, were surrounded by rapping lifeforms, and found their phasers were useless. Dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a battle rapper!" (Can anyone explain whether this is a GOOD review or a BAD one?)...."It's fun to think that all those metal kooks were using the wrong musical idiom all along. Imagine how miffed Venom singer Kronos Lantwill be when he finds out the hip-hoppers had the RIGHT formula AND ACTUALLY USED IT AT A MOTHER'S DAY CONCERT! (New London Day, May 2001)--------Everybody ELSE fears us...other reviews would be appreciated, even if they're negative.
