Artist History
lt7 was formed in the spring of 1998, after an extended period of playing together at singles events at a large Houston area church. The band's first gig was playing a Jars of Clay tune at a wedding that summer. A providential meeting with a Nashville area producer, Mitch Dane, resulted in the debut CD, Spin in the Fall of 1998. LT7 has had an extensive series of shows to support the album and will do a short tour of Spain this summer. |

Vibey acoustic driven rock with more than a nod to REM, Less Than
Seven's six track CD "Spin" is a combination of brilliant melodies and
intriguing lyrics pitched on top of a bed of stripped down but powerful music.
The intensity isn't conveyed by a huge production but rather with Less
Than Seven, less is more. The tender ballad "Fall Down" is a magnificent
musical experience topped with beautiful harmonies and lyrics that describe a
humble experience of God. At the other extreme, "In The Meantime" and
the album's opener "Shadow Lands" are more out there! In fact that first
cut has a bit of a groove which immediately catches the attention. My
other fave here is "Schemers And Dreamers" which has a real anglophile feel
to it with its British references. Excellent stuff. Overall this is a
brilliant calling card for an intriguing band. Can't wait to hear more. (8
