Artist History
At age 16, Clea Rose began making a name for herself in Sydney, Australia where her writing and singing earned her a following among coffeehouse-and club goers. She also paid extensive visits to her father, U.S. folk singer Arthur Hancock, learning from and performing with him in the States. Little did Clea Rose know what a night of playing and singing at Santa Monica, California's Third Street Promenade would lead to a few years later. Just weeks after arriving from Australia in late 1998, she was overheard on the open-air walkway by passerby Chris McCarty, an award-winning hit songwriter with numerous gold and platinum albums to his credit. Soon, she would be writing and recording with some of America's finest muscians. |
