Artist History
Homegrown in Paducah, KY, Big Jim Slade rolls up dual guitars, three-part harmonies and seals the deal with a hard-drivin' rhythm section. The four ingredients in the recipe for Big Jim Slade are Chris Belt (guitar, vocals), Jonathan Sirls (guitar, vocals), Robert Sirls (bass, vocals) and Clay Fuqua (drums). All four guys grew up in Paducah, but never really played together until all four moved to Nashville and happened to hook up in 1994. The following year, Chris joined up with Rob and Jon, with Clay coming aboard soon thereafter. In the past few years, Big Jim Slade has played constantly in Nashville and other spots around the Southeast, as well as CBGB's and The Bitter End in NYC. With influences from King's X to Skynyrd, these four boysfrom Kentucky have created a sound unlike any band today. |
