Artist History
Band was first founded in 1995 as a metal-type band. Guitarist Justin Walton joined in 1996, and the format progressed to incorporate more funkand jazz influence in the rock songs. After more than three years as a fixture in the Seacoast NH and Southern Maine music scenes, the Portland/Durham based original rock band Actual Size will be entering an extended hiatus from live performance. Having released their second CD, "Reciprocity", Actual Size will be continuing as a studio oriented collaborative effort between founding member Jason Rayne and guitarist Justin S. Walton. At present, the principal objective of Actual Size and Seismic Records is the promotion and distribution of "Reciprocity", as well as other Seismic products and merchandise. After much consideration and months of preparation, Justin S. Walton has joined forces with established seacoast band Dreadnaught. Through this merger, Dreadnaught will be revamping selected works of Actual Size under the supervision of Actual Size's lead guitarist and principal composer/arranger, Justin S. Walton. Dreadnaught will continue to perform their impressive body of work, combining the songs of Ethan Bessey, Robert Lord, Richard Habib and Nick Trippi with the Actual Size material and new Justin S. Walton originals. All existing Actual Size engagements and commitments will be heretofore fulfilled as Dreadnaught. For additional information on the genealogy and evolution of Actual Size or the upcoming dates and plans of Dreadnaught, please visit www.actualsize.net and www.dreadnaughtrock.com. |
