Press Reviews Aeon's first demo "Evolve" 1996 received a metal demo of the month title in Finnish music magazine Rumba, and the second "Probe" 1997 also came close. Here´s the recent review from Raw42 (industrial metal website) " MATRIX PARADOX would be highly reminiscent of Ministry, if they did metal. Heavy driving guitars, distorted vocals and lots of melodic breaks from this Finnish power unit. Tightly woven guitars and powerful beats set the stage for an assault on your senses and if you're going to go for that brutal metal and industrial mix, this will be the number. More of a narrative tune than a standard song with all the breaks and changes. I'd say nice but this isn't nice music, it's heavy and nasty (that's a compliment).The industrial metal of STARVE really isn't industrial.... ok, a few techno synth blips but for the most part, this music is metal. To me industrial rock is Killing Joke, FLA, Ministry et al, not RAMMSTEIN or My Dying Bride but that could just be a personal classification. Doesn't really matter, this track is entirely heavy, in your face, assaultive. Massive beats and chunky guitars make for mighty noise, good noise.Power metal style is the focus of STRINGED and it's forceful enough to be addictive and the added bonus is that this band is tightwhich makes all the difference for this music - there's nothing worse than a sloppy, slacking metal band. The commercial edge on this heavy track may give AEON an advantage with airplay butthe track is still heavy enough to appeal to most metal fans. I just like the fact that it's well done.
