Artist History
The concept of Yellowskin came to guitarist/vocalist Greg C Pearson in the very early 90s as he was singing and playing at a club called Hobbits in Weston-Super-Mare. The floor on the club was covered in piss, sweat and blood and the audience were only a few inches away. The band he was playing for were a quasi-NIN sounding bunch who were encoring with a few old punk tracks...this is what he wanted to do. He instantly went home and started writing songs for his new punk band. A few months later he was kicked out of his flat and moved back to Clevedon. THere he hooked up with his old school mate Steve Musto who was a great artist, a great skateboarder and had a bass - they rehearsed together before finding another old frine Aaron Wooton - who had played in bands with both members before. They started to promote their band, writing the name everywhere and not telling anyone what it meant. Soon they recorded a couple of demos and hawked them all over the world, they also played quite a few gigs - the punk thing was starting to get a bit more popular too so they found themselves a good crowd where ever they went. Unfortunatley, after 3 years Yellowskin (so named as Greg has a blood disorder that makes him yellow) split up when Aaron moved to America to teach and Steve persued a career in animation.Greg now plays for the punk band Mr.Zippy (www.mrzippy.co.uk or www.mp3.com/mrzippy) Steve runs Primary Skateboards and Aaron still teaches in Arizona. |

Press Reviews
(In reference to compilation album "Anarchy Reign")The album is about as interesting as re-runs of supermarket sweep but if you sift through them there are some real gems - one of these is the two-pronged garage guitar attack of YELLOWSKIN... |
