Artist description Nova Babylon is a Project by ZET BE from Berlin/Germany.We produce Soundscapes related to Life in modern, multicultural Cities.Many Aspects of this Lifeform such as Multiculturalism, Usage of extreme Ways of Expression in Music, Theatre,Habit or Clothing and especially Promiskuity and sexual Libertinage; are often condamned as "Decadence", "Signs of Decline" or "Immorality".We give a very different Comment.To us the Urban Lifestyle represents the most advanced State of Evolution.And we glorify the Idea of Babylon the Great without ignoring the harsh facts,related to the Living in a City like Berlin. The result is a Music that is neither cheerfull nor depressivebut intense, sometimes unholy, dark and spiced with that sort of Humor,that is to be found in classic Recordings of Bands like Celtic Frost, Joy Division or Bauhaus.We record onto Harddisk and use massive FX, Softwaresequencers and Drummachines to develop the Tunes.We never use any Samples token from Recordings by other Musicians(all Guitars/Voice/Noise etc. is played by oure own Hands).We also mix the Sequencerstuff with some handplayed Guit/Perc/keyb. etcMost of the Stuff is Instrumental, none fits in Categories like "Drum&Bass","Dub","Techno","Trance" etc.Especially we want to announce that: there will never be any trakk of oure Brand that could be described as "Dance" or "Pop"...
