Artist description
My compositions run the gamut of acoustic guitar styles, from new age instrumentals to folk rock vocal numbers. My music is also fairly evenly divided between fingerstyle and strumming techniques. I think of myself as a self-taught composer and songwriter, though I had some early training in the basics of guitar and band music. |

Artist History
I've played guitar for most of my life, since I was about six years old. Though there have of course been many influences on my playing over the years, two momentous occurrences strike me as pivotal. First, I was turned onto Eddie Van Halen and the whole hard rock scene, which led me to set aside the acoutic guitar in favor of the electric guitar for a number of years. The second big event was discovering the music of Michael Hedges, which for me was like re-discovering the acoustic guitar. I've played cafes, bars, corporate parties, and weddings since graduating from college. I now live with my wife in Seattle. |
