Musical Influences Disco House

Artist History As Mac80 I was born on October 2000. As Andrea (this is my true name), exactly twenty years before, in Treviglio, near Milan. Now I live in Arzago, a little village in the Lombard countryside, seven kilometers from Treviglio. Even as a boy I was fond of music and I studied piano four years. When I was 15 and 16, house and disco music (as I mention in my song Di-Dance) influenced me to such an extent that they still are the genres most songs of mine start from. Of course I cannot forget folk music (nothing strange, I think: music is unbounded). An uncle of mine, Walter, is the brain and the lead actor of a company of amateur actors, "Gli Arzaghesi", performing folk musicals. And in 1993, e.g., I wrote, together with MaGiCa, words of one the song they usually sing and, in 1994, also together with MaGiCa (that, in this case, was the arranger and the sound engineer), I took part, as keyboard operator, to the recordings for a show. After a period of simple musical compositions, on October 2000 I decided to start a disco (and disk) project, resulting in my CD "Single Mac", available here. On April and May 2001 I composed, arranged and played songs for the soundtrack of the musical "Specchio delle mie brame". (See www.mp3.com/gamber)
