Artist History Kerry hasn't looked back since 1997 when he won a popular Satrsearch vocal competition at home in Canada. The prize package allowed Kerry to go into the studio & release his first single "The Wish". The strong lyrics and melody helped The Wish get airplay all over the world. With this success Kerry was back in the studio finishing his first full CD. Kerry was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and has an extensive and diverse musical history. He has studied classical vocal training at North Idaho College where he received a scholarship for voice, he was also the lead singer of the college's touring jazz vocal group. He has also performed musical theatre in the Broadway classic "Damn Yankees" Hailing from a musical family, Kerry's grandfather was a tenor with the Belfast Operatic Company. His father, a musician performed in several bands. His brother a talented drummer plays in Kerry's road band '' I've been around music all my life, my family's strong musical roots encouraged me to get involved with music," Kerry says. " The variety of styles that I have been exposed to has really shaped my own writing and performing."
