Artist History I started producing back in 1994. At the time, I was a very young high school student without money for equipment, so I actually went to recording studios to make beats. In 1995 I got my first set up, and spent all my time on it to sharpen my skills. I moved to Atlanta about a year after that with two friends of mine and tried to get on with Rowdy Records (in case you don't know, Rowdy was a division of Arista Records owned by Dallas Austin and home to Monica, Illegal, Fishbone and Da King and I). I got in good with the staff, but at the time Rowdy was not doing well overall and folded. I also tried Ichiban and So So Def with little success. I returned to New York and purchased more equipment while doing a radio show on WRUR FM 88.5. I feel that my experience as a club/radio DJ helped me learn how to move people.
