Artist History
Vardina Cohen is the only daughter of one of Israel's most reknowned musical families. Her brother Izhar is famous for winning the 1978 Eurovision, while other brother Hofni is a steadfast presence on the Israeli scene. Father Shlomo has enjoyed nearly half a century of worldwide success performing as "Suleiman the Great." In 1990 Vardina recorded and released her first solo project entitled "Derekh Atzmi" ("My Own Way") which contained a Number One cover of Sting's "Fragile" sung in both Hebrew and Arabic. On her latest release, "Mi Amar Sheh..." ("Says Who..."), Vardina teams up with husband and producer Zur Ben-Ze'ev for a collection of tunes that span the full spectrum of contemporary styles. |
