Artist History
In February 1988 there seemed to be a need to sit around a recording walkman, improvising comedy collages and sound sketched, ringing a bell to signify the end of one piece and the beginning of another. These raw sessions were edited down to the best, or father, least unlistenable segments. Then we listened to them and congratulated ourselves on our mild cleverness. Vanishing Harold, from these humble beginnings, went on to win an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony, a feat matched only by Rita Moreno. |
