Artist History
Formed in 1981 by Scott Lucas and Brian Keys, with many guests (including Pink Bob on most occasions). Recorded hundreds of hours of improvised music in the 1980s, but formally had only two cassette releases. A third project was mixed but never released and will soon appear on another mp3.com page. After nearly 10 years of inactivity, Lucas and Pink Bob teamed up with avant guitarist Matt Seniff to revive The Dits under the moniker DITS 2000 on July 1, 2000. After four successful concerts, eight double CD releases and the end of the year that was half of DITS 2000's name, the core trio decided to reclaim the original nameplate of THE DITS for future work.. |

Walls of guitars, mountains of synthetics, sheets of effects, miles of tapes, piles of cellos, boat-loads of brass, tons of percussion, oodles of ukuleles, stacks of theremins, cartons of toys and two gross of defective kazoos. |
