Group Members
Rick Almond: (Soprano, Alto, and Tenor Saxophones) - A graduate of the Pfeiffer University School of Music with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Music Education with 20 years of performance experience. Major influences include Tom Scott, David Sanborn, and Pink Floyd. Alex Bost: (Acoustic and Electric Guitars) - Performed Rock, Top 40, and Jazz over the last 30 years. Major influences include Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenhour, Roben Ford, The Almond Brothers Band, among others. Gray Fallin: (Drums and Percussion) - Formal training in symphonic music. Performed traditional and big band jazz. Worked with various Rock and Top 40 bands in the Charlotte area for over 15 years. Major influences include Peter Erskine, Bill Bruford, and Steve Gadd. Eddie Ritch: (Keyboards) - Has performed many musical styles over the last 30 years including pop, rock, and jazz. Major influences include Keith Jarrett, Larry Young, Keith Emerson, Jan Hammer, and Herbie Hancock. Carlton Jackson: (Percussion) - Was introduced to and fell in love with Latin percussion instruments in particular the congas at an early age. Performed with many different bands and musical styles. Major influences include Potiato Valdez, Ray Barretta, and Mongo Santamaria. Rogers Kohrs: (Acoustic and Electric Bass) - An extremely versatile musician has played professionally for over 28 years with numerous bands including studio and jingle work. Major influences include Guitarist Father, Roger Sr., Jaco Pastorius, and Django Reinhart. |
