Artist History
Somewhere in the heart of the City of Seattle, WA in a smoke filled club we'll call "The Dragon's Courtyard" the man that we must call Fred Roth had awakened in a tuxedo and top hat probably left by the frog! There was this wallet with and an ID with his picture on it; only it wasn't his name. It was the name of one Fred Roth. When the guy close to him asked if he was prepared to take to the stage and had used the name Fred, all he could do was respond in kind and play like he was actually Fred Roth from Philadelphia. He was in a band known as The Anathema Project (TAP for short). Anathma means to be hated and despised, to be cast out from; but from what? That is the question that can only be answered by meeting the Dragon. Fred recalled that he had played bass for 'Outhouse', (former capitol records recording artists) 'Imij' and 'Lost Dog' only his name was Cedric Ross then. "I wanted to put myself together the way that originally inspired me to play music in the first place, I wanted to bring it all back! I wanted to meet the Dragon!"...whatever that means...just some random thought he guessed. He had very little idea that he would embark on a lifelong journey into institutional disaster. This is his story as told in the kindest way possible. It's now for you! It won't change you! The Anathema Project doesn't work like that. It (TAP that is) moves in it's own direction so don't bother steppin this way if you're used to having your hand held. In this world you do what you want and go where you will, in fact, nobody really cares what you do. We on the other hand are here right now so come and get it! We're not running, away but towards the fences until there is nothing left to explore! You are invited to join us! You will all be treated well if you do but don't ever stand in our way...much love to y'all but you better run! |

Press Reviews
The Anathema Project communicates with frogs that can talk!!! ...NOT really but it seems like it does! They walk wearing black warm clothes. They walk like a pack of wolves. They are curious to know what happened on that night in 1985? They will embrace you but they will not try to please you. |
