Artist description Born in North Carolina to musical parents; father is a drummer, mom sings and plays a “mean” radio. Jason started his entrance into music at the age of 14. He received his first guitar and amp for Christmas that year and quickly submersed himself into music. Learning everything from rock to classical guitar he was opened up to a wide variety of styles and influences. "I was a sponge about music, I enjoyed listening to just about any style of music and tried to soak up anything I could from it." Guitar is my first love, it is my primary instrument of writing. Music to me has no boundaries, no limits, it should be a reflection of how you feel. To stylistically limit yourself, ultimately restricts your emotional outlet. This is the reason that I enjoy writing so many different styles. To venture into new places spiritually, emotionally and creatively. People sometimes ask, what kind of music do you play? My response is always something different because music to me is totally open. A musician friend once said to me "Jason, every song I write is like a page in my diary, it was the way I was feeling at the moment I wrote it." I think that's one of the best ways to describe what we do. Music is suppose to allow us to be ourselves and tell the stories that revolve around our lives. As musicians we should always be expanding and growing, because as people aren't we always doing the same? Life isn't 2 dimensional, so why should music be?My future projects are varied. I thoroughly enjoying playing, recording and producing music on my own. I also enjoy helping others produce and master their pieces. I could see myself writing movie soundtracks; playing in a band; working on solo project; just about anything dealing with music. Now, 12 years after this journey began, I am just as excited and enthusiastic about music, with dreams and desires to write music that touches people and helps them to understand just how important music is.
