Artist description
Performing for over 2 decades, Eric Apoe remains one of the premier singer/songwriters in the Northwest. His raw, distinctive style is expressed through his songs with satiric honesty, and dark humor. Having lived on the beatnik downside of L.A.'s Hollywood "show-biz" boulevard, Eric's songs infuse his twisted perspective of social life & existence into music he calls, "Urban Doom." With an all-star cast of musicians as The Furnace, including Christine Gunn (Cello) and Jarrod Kaplan (Percussion) of Trillian Green, Paul Benoit (Guitar) of Hanuman & Crosseyed, and a variety of top notch instrumentalists, performances are guaranteed to have the charm of spontaneity, and the chaos of Murphy's Laws... Eric's 1996 release, "Songs of Love & Doom" is a masterpiece of cleverly crafted songs, poetically delivered. Definitely a must for those who appreciate songs with substance. Eric’s current release "Dream Asylum" is his strongest effort to date, drawing from the talents of Seattle’s best musicians to perform Eric’s highly crafted songs. |
