Artist description
This phase of Hemispheres takes an energetic direction, Jazz with three horns and a taste of Candombe (Uruguay) plus a hint of flamenco and classical. These sounds are in place in this new project.
Bandleader Beledo is well known in the United States, Argentina, and his native Uruguay as a Jazz guitarist and composer with a flamenco-influenced sound.

Artist History
"Beledo is considered a real myth among Uruguayan music connoisseurs," --El Pais (Uruguay).
His early fusion projects in Uruguay drew international attention, and his ability was recognized in "Upcoming Talents" features in Guitar Player and Jazziz Magazines. As a teenager, he had virtually achieved hero status.
Also an accomplished pianist, Beledo has recorded and composed on both instruments.

"BELEDO is considered a real myth among Uruguayan music connoisseurs," according to EL PAIS newspaper from his home town of Montevideo, Uruguay. His work is also very well respected in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Piano was his first instrument, however, he became a guitar hero in his late teenage years. Later on, his fusion effort of the early eighties in South America gave him U.S. recognition in upcoming talents articles in GUITAR PLAYER magazine and JAZZIZ magazine. |
