Artist description
Tragic Symphony may well be described as the band to defy what is standard to the media. Composed of different colors and native beginnings, joined together by only one thing: the new age of 80's dark wave with a heavy rotation of punk influences. They’ve come together with full force and energy and stage presence like no other. And this is what they have to say “who cares what anyone thinks? We’re gonna play our music with the biggest inspiration of all, our passion”
They derive their influences from such bands as Bauhaus, Echo And The Bunnymen, Sioxsie And The Banshees, Jesus And Mary Chain, The Bolshoi, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Clash, The Misfits and Samhain to name a few. People have said that the sound Tragic Symphony delivers reminds them of a clashing decibel between TSOL and The Cure.
Tragic Symphony is Miguel on vocals, John Paul on guitar, Greg on the drums, and Dean Mark on bass and new member, Brian on keyboards. These five unique inviduals share a common ground, in music and in the cities they grew up in Southern California around the San Gabriel Valley area. Although the music scene has quiet died down in the area and the rest of the pop punk as well as the hardcore punk bands went on to better things or somehow dissappeared. Tragic Symphony separated itself from the pack and ventured on to the new heights of a new sound that has been born.
Everything the band does is released in pure indie form. It takes so much dedication, devotion and strength to release and manage a band. And Tragic Symphony does just that. From flyers to their Eps to their stickers to their pins and home made t-shirts. All of which is not bought by greed and money or fame, but seized by the soul and the hearts of true musicians bringing forth the best and most different music they could ever produce
