Artist History
It did not seem odd to him that the subway held more compelling things than the famous city above. There was nothing important out there, in the broad afternoon, that he could not find in purer form in these tunnels beneath the streets. Don DeLillo, Libra |

And even though he did not have any idea of the true shape of that most protean and chameleon of cities he grew convinced that it kept changing shape as he ran around beneath it, so that the stations on the Underground changed lines and followed one another in apparently random sequence. Salman Rushdie, The Satanic Verses |

Press Reviews
The A train, the D train, the F train, that underground undercurrent steel.plated frame, unworkable air vents, ass.aching benches, and then there's that corny paraphernalia all over the interior. Inside of all of this, there's a brother being soaked in by that shit on the wall, suffocating from bad breath in the air, in pain because some white jackass is riding on his foot. While on the train you see young and old white wrinkly faces, peeking over crooked shoulders and under cardboard hats, poking their noses at you, vampire eyes staring at you, wondering who you are. The Last Poets, "New York, New York"
